  • An interesting walking tour
    By: Miss Amy Haines

This tour was really interesting to learn more about Chinatown and the North Beach area. Met at the Chinatown Gate, and tea tasting was really good. It was very interesting to see how the fortune cookies were made, but didnt really like the pepole, just kept saying 'you buy fortune cookie' multiple times. Dim sum in the bakery was interesting, had never tried before. Saw some interesting parts of North Beach and the Italian area, before eating 2 large slices of pizza in a lovely pizza restaurant. Tour lady was very nice and informative. Amy and Ben

My 10 year old grandson and I thoroughly enjoyed the tour and Blandina the tour guide...She knew her neighborhood and used both history and private anecdotes in her presentation..She made a point of including things for the younger ser...It was obvious that she had a good working relationship with the restaurant/deli/bakery/etc. owners...My only complaint was the overseas banking charge that was not mentioned anywhere until I received my Visa Bill...
