If you are interested in booking the tour on a Wednesday there is a possibility of St. Peter’s Basilica and St. Peter’s Square not being a part of your itinerary. As an alternative, you are offered an extended itinerary within the Vatican Museums, which still includes the Sistine Chapel and Raphael’s Rooms.
Unfortunately this tour is not suitable for those with mobility problems.
Please understand that the Vatican is a high surveillance area and extra measures may be implemented at some venues due to heightened global security. This is why you may experience slight delays at the entrance due to the presence of mandatory security checks.
The Vatican unfortunately does not allow visitors to enter with large bags, tripods, umbrellas, and backpacks so we would suggest that you carry small bags to avoid getting stuck at security check-ins. In case you do need to carry any of the above mentioned items, you can have them checked into the free luggage storage area.
St. Peter's Basilica and other religious sites may be subject to unscheduled closures for religious ceremonies. When this occurs, we will provide guests with an extended tour of the Vatican Museums, or an alternative. We endeavor to inform guests beforehand if there are any planned disruptions to the Basilica's opening hours, however, this is not always possible. In such cases, we are unable to provide any refund or discount.
